ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have taken images from TV, films, The New Zealand Herald, Time and National Geographic, repackaging and recycling them. The paintings are about the world today - about being bombarded with information, an information overload and desensitise shifting realities.
Some of the paintings portray anonymous individuals and events such as those experienced in any contemporary urban setting; the homeless and dispossessed, the emotionally disturbed and hovering in the background the bombastic voice of the politician.
St Patricks Day, Wanganui, 2003.
